Indian government is going to launch Aakash tablet on 5th october.The tablet is of $35 ( Rs. 1,720 ) only and being manufactured by a Canadian company Datawind in a Noida plant.
UPDATE:- Retail version of akash tablet from DATAWIND will be available at INR 2,999 from november as Datawind Ubislate.

This tablet will be called as Aakash Low Cost Access Device (LCAD) and will be available for just INR1200 to students( after subsidies )
Government version Aakash tablet will only have WiFi connectivity wether comercial version of akash tablet (Datawind Ubislate) will have 2G. And it will be available for indian customers within 60 days of today’s launch.

I booked Akash tablet at 23 December and my booking Id is PMDB5482DF7 but i have not get it & i have no any type of information about it.
