Vivo rolls out Android 15 to its flagship models ahead of both Google and Samsung. Vivo has brought Funtouch OS 15 update to its flagship devices, even though the official launch of Funtouch OS 15 is scheduled to release on September 30, 2024, some Vivo users are already taking an advantage of using Android 15.
Vivo rolls out Android 15 is a major surprise, as all latest Android updates always lead by Samsung and Google, but this time Google ‘s own Pixel devices, including new Pixel 9 series, which are expected to receive Android 15 update in mid-October, and Samsung also lagging behind in update cycle, while Vivo win the race this time by getting the early update.
Vivo devices which are receiving the early update are- Vivo X100 series,Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, and the iQOO 12.

What are the features of Funtouch OS 15?
- There are a host of new features brought by Funtouch OS 15 on top of the standard Android 15 offerings.
- The features include AI-powered enhancements like- AI eraser feature in Gallery which works similar to Google Photos’ Magic Editor, and it will also have a tool of removing shadow for photo editing.
Also, it has feature which includes Live Transcribe tool for accessibility which help users to follow conversations in real-time.
An exciting feature of Android 15 that is “Private space” for managing private apps has also already offered to Vivo’s Flagship models.

There are some more features that are expected to launch with Android 15 like- partial screen sharing for enhanced privacy during presentations or collaborations, and native support for satellite connectivity, enabling communication in areas with limited or no cellular coverage, etc.
This time, Vivo really surprised everyone by giving early Android 15 update to its devices, beating both Google and Samsung to the punch.
Well, this has happened for the first time that the non-Google smartphones has received Android update before reaching the pixel-lineup. This is the significant shift in the Android Update landscape.
