Redmi A4 5G has been announced in India by Xiaomi and soon it will launch in India with a retail price of under INR 10,000 ($120).
The launch of the model with such pocket-friendly and budget price will make it one of the most affordable 5G phones in the country.
President of Xiaomi India, Muralikrishnan B, stated that-
“As we celebrate 10 years in India, the Redmi A4 5G marks a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to bring advanced technology to every Indian. Designed exclusively for the Indian market, it embodies our vision of ‘5G for Everyone’, bridging the digital divide. With this device, we aim to accelerate India’s shift to 5G, delivering an enhanced entry-level smartphone experience”.

Redmi A4 5G will also be the first Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 phone, as after the announcement of Snapdragon 4s Gen 2, Redmi A4 5G will be the first smartphone to launch with this processor.
Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset recently announced by Qualcomm which is an affordable 5G chipset fabbed on a 4nm process and aimed at budget smartphones. It features 2x Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and 6x Crotex-A55 at 1.8GHz, and this Snapdragon chip has also got an unspecified Adreno GPU, slower LPDDR4x RAM and retains UFS 3.1 storage support.
Specs of Redmi A4 5G:
Redmi A4 5G will be similar to the Redmi 14R and Redmi 14C which has a large circular camera island and comes with a 50MP main camera.
Full specification sheet of the model has not been revealed by the company Xiaomi but it is expected that the model will feature 6.7-inch LCD display HD+ resolution and will have Refresh rate of 90 Hz.
Also, from rumors it got to heard that the model will have 8MP of selfie camera, and it will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging support.
