    Google Task integration on Android is introduced by Google Calendar

    Google Task integration on Android is rolling out by Google Calendar for Android users. This new feature will help users to stay organized by managing tasks without switching between multiple apps.

    This new update will bring features like task creation, viewing, and seamless management directly within the Calendar app.

    This integration of Google Task with Calendar is helpful for busy individuals and professionals to simplify and plan their tasks efficiently in a single app. However, the Google Tasks app will still be available to provide dual approaches for more flexibility according to user preferences.

    What’s new about Google Task integration on Android?

    Currently, Google Calendar provides access to its users to create and view tasks with due dates. The new integration update has brought a dedicated Tasks section within the app, which can be accessed through a “Tasks icon” in the top bar.

    If users tap on that icon, they will see all tasks and lists, including tasks without due dates.

    This will help users to manage their to-do lists and calendar events in the same place which will enhance productivity and reduce app cluttering.

    The new update of integration is the alignment of the Android app with the web version of Google Calendar, which is a similar functionality introduced last year.

    How users can access this new Google Calendar update:

    A new “Task icon” will appear in the Calendar app’s toolbar once the user’s device receives this new update. After tapping the icon, users will be able to see a full-screen view of all tasks, organized by lists.

    Users can mark their tasks as completed directly from the interface appear for manage their to-dos conveniently.

    Rollout Timeline:

    The new Google Task integration feature on Android will start rolling out gradually over the next few weeks, as announced by Google. No other information regarding to the rollout timeline has been shared by Google. To receive the new feature, users need to keep their Calendar app updated.     Google always commits to enhancing its efficiency for its users for better user experience. Google has also inserted Calendar into Gmail’s sidebar for Workspace and Google One AI Premium users for quick access to events while managing emails. This integration feature is also an effort towards enhancing the productivity of users.
