With the new year, WhatsApp has also introduced some new fun features for users to enhance and improve their messaging experience. These new features will provide more creative ways to chat.
Camera effects:
Last year, the filter and virtual background effects were introduced by WhatsApp for video calls. The same filter and virtual background effect is now coming to messaging, where users can now edit shots with different visual effects when they take a photo or video in chats.
This new fun feature will allow users to edit photos or videos taken in a chat with 30 different backgrounds, filters, and effects. You can send the edited shot in a message. Isn’t it interesting?
Selfie stickers for WhatsApp chats:
This is another interesting feature introduced by WhatsApp to chat. This feature allows users to turn their selfies into stickers. It means that users can now create stickers with any of their selfies and share them with their friends on chat.
To create stickers from selfies, users need to tap the Create sticker icon. After tapping that icon, users will see the camera option to take a selfie and create their stickers.
For now, this feature is available on Android only and is coming soon to iOS.
New fun feature of Sharing a sticker pack:
Has it ever happened to you that you spotted a sticker pack and wanted to share it with your friends? Well, now you can share any sticker pack that you think will be liked by your friends directly in your chats.
Quicker reaction:
Well, this feature is really helpful in faster messaging. With this new ‘Quicker reaction’ feature, users can now just double-tap to react to messages in chats rather than tapping and holding. Users can react to the message with their most-used emojis, which will now be displayed in the scrolling pop-out menu instead of the generic selection that was previously provided.
This new feature will help in placing favorite emoji reactions within easy reach so that users don’t need to search for it too long.
Also, users can easily access other emoji options by just clicking the plus symbol on the reaction bar.
