The most awaited moment of launching Google Pixel 9 series in India has now over as it was unveiled yesterday at “Made by Google” event and the prices of Pixel series are announced. The Google Pixel Watch 3 and the Pixel Buds Pro2 was also introduced at the same event. The latest Google Pixel 9 series includes Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold which now provide users all updated deign, new Tensor g4 processors, powered by AI features such as Gemini Live.

Pixel 9:
Pixel 9 is a base model of the Pixel 9 series. It will offer:
- Display: 6.1-inch OLED Actua display with 1080x2424resolution at 422ppi. It has a 120Hz refresh rate that goes down to 60Hz.Also, for the protection of display and the back it has a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
- Rear camera: 50 MO main camera and 48 MP ultrawide camera.
- Front Camera: 10.5 MP front camera for selfie.
- Battery: 4,700 mAh battery that supports 45W charging. It claims of 100 hours of battery life with extreme power saver mode.
- Weight: Pixel 9 weighs around 198 grams.
- Ram and processor: Pixel 9 will run on Tensor G4 chipset with 12GB RAM.
- Storage and colour: It has 256 GB storage, and it comes in the Obsidian, Porcelain, Wintergreen and Peony colours.
Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL:
Both models have almost same specification, they only differ in screen size and a little bit in battery capacity, rest features are same.
- Display of Pixel 9 Pro: 6.3-inch LTPO OLED super Actua display with 1280×2856 resolution at 495 ppi with refresh rate of 120Hz which drops to 1 Hz.
- Display of Pixel 9 Pro XL: 6.8 INCH LTPO OLED Super Actua display with 1344×2992 resolution at 486ppi with refresh rate same as Pixel 9 Pro.
- Both models have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the front and back.
- Rear Camera: Pro and Pro XL, both have 50 MP main camera with 48MP telephoto lens with 5x zoom and 48 MP ultrawide sensor, act as macro lens too.
- Front Camera: Both models have 42MP front camera.
- Battery: Pixel Pro has 4700 mAh capacity, Pixel Pro XL has 5,060 mAh cell. Both support 45 W charging and claim all day battery that charges 70% in half an hour
- Weight: Pixel 9 Pro weighs 199 grams, Pixel 9 Pro XL weighs 221 grams.
- Ram and processor: Both devices are in its self-developed Tensor G4 processor with 16 GB RAM. “They will be among the first to receive Android 15 when available”.
- Storage and Color: Both devices have 512 GB storage and come in four colours- Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel and Rose Quartz.
Prices and Availability of Pixel 9 series:
- Google Pixel 9 can be purchased at Rs. 79,999
- Google Pixel Pro will begin at Rs. 1,09,999
- Google Pixel Pro XL will start at Rs. 1,24,999
- Pre order for Google Pixel 9 series will start from August 14 only, in India.
- All the phones will be available soon on Flipkart as well as Reliance Digital and Croma for retail buyers, for the first time in India.
For now, there will be three company-operated walk-in centres in India, which will start with Delhi and Bangalore while the Mumbai based store will be soon live where Pixel or next users get their device serviced.
