OxygenOS 15 is an Android15-based operating system for OnePlus devices is expected to release in November 2024
As we see that the last year, in the month of November, OxygenOS 14 was released and similarly OxygenOS 13 released in the same month. So by this, users can expect that the OxygenOS 15 is going to release soon.

Which devices will be eligible for OxygenOS 15?
The latest upgrade will be first received by the users who have a high-end OnePlus device and can enjoy early access of the new OS by joining beta program, then it gradually be available to other models.

Features of OxygenOS 15 to be expected:
There are plenty of new features which development team of OnePlus will provide to its users with the new upgrade of the operating system. As OxygenOS is Android 15-based, we can expect some similar features as revealed for Android 15 by Google.

Lock screen Customisation
New lock screen customisation feature is expected to be seen in new OxygenOS 15 which provide its users to customize lock screen fonts, colors, clock styles, and widgets.

Video Battery Saver
This feature has been observed in Android 15 beta phase for Oneplus phone.
In this feature, if found that that video supported app is draining battery, battery usage automatically optimized to extend battery life. But this may slightly affect video quality.

Theft Detection Lock
This is an Android 15 feature which will work on AI to protect data from thief. Using AI, if the feature will detect that device has snatched from the user, then device will automatically get locked. Thus, protecting your device’s data and your privacy from the thief attack by preventing them to activate the device.

Satellite Connectivity support
As this one is also an Android 15 feature which provide users the ability to send or receive messages, even if they don’t have network connectivity, with the help of Satellite Connectivity Support.
This feature will not be available in all Android 15 phones, but OxygenOS will support this feature in OnePlus.

App Archiving
This feature works like the offloading apps feature on iPhones.
By Uninstalling or archiving the app users won’t lose any data, they can continue the work after reinstalling the app without any data loss.
Other than this, many more features can be introduced and revealed with the official release date of the OxygenOS. Android 15-based OxygenOS will support and provide similar features as Android15. Users can only wait for the release of OxygenOS for their OnePlus devices.
Also, OxygenOS 15 will adopt some of the iOS features like- volume slider animations, “Live Photos,” and a Control Center rework.
It has been showed by the early preview that OnePlus will implement a 2×2 media player, a simple brightness slider, and a 1×2 volume panel.
Users collection of notifications will be produced by “swiping down from the left” in OxygenOS 15.
Thus, users can expect that OxygenOS 15 might bring some of the Apple-like features in OnePlus devices. Let’s see, whether the features will prove to be better or worse in coming days.
