Google Pixel 9a release date is expected to be probably in March 2025, this would be the earliest release date in the lineup’s history.
As the schedule of Google’s release have been shifting in some major ways as of late like the Pixel 9 series released two months before in August before the usual October expectation, makes us believe that 9a will also release soon. And it is expected that Pixel 9a will be “available for pre-order” in mid-March 2025.

The Pixel 9a could be the biggest change in design and some rumors say that A-series might be completely ditched by the Google.
A change in the camera department can be made by Google’s Pixel 9a that is it will move down to a 48MP primary camera. Google has upgraded camera sensor to 64MP in both Pixel 7a and 8a, and it will drop down to 48MP in 9a.
The report also suggests that the selfie camera of Pixel 9a will be 13MP.
9a will have “Add me” feature in which using AI processing, a person who has been left from the group picture, can be added in the same pic. This feature was launched on the Pixel 9 series.
Pixel 9a will be slightly bigger in dimensions, it will measure 154.7 x 73.2 x 8.9mm which is slightly taller, slightly wider and a bit thinner as compared to the dimension of 8a. And, it will come with a camera bump out to 9.4mm.
Battery size of the model could get impacted by the thinner size, though the added height and width could help lessen any constraints on the battery.
The report suggests that the Google Pixel 9a will be available in four different color options. Along side ‘Obsidian’ and ‘Porcelain’ color options, it will also get a ‘Peony’ pink color, and ‘Iris’ bluish-purple color.
As the Google’s Pixel 9a release date is expected, let’s hope that it get released in early days of March 2025, as expected.
